Context:
IBI Group is a global architecture, engineering, planning, and technology firm with offices worldwide. The company introduced a new series of programs in hopes of helping streamline internal processes.

The Challenge:
Employees felt overwhelmed and hesitated to start using the new program.

The Solution:
To solve this issue we created an introductory video, accompanied by full program tutorials, to help employees feel at ease and inspire them to use the new programs.

Harmoniously working with existing guidelines

While the IBI colours are striking, their vibrancy can feel very high-energy or even harsh in a video context — not the tone you want to set with already-overwhelmed employees. We suggested expanding the greens to allow depth, as well as softening the black to a dark blue so it would play well with the video's complex topic.

Results

IBI loved the work done, and the video is praised by multiple departments for its smart storytelling, and stylistic approach to a complicated subject matter. The video sparked an internal design re-brand to include a new array of greens and blues to the IBI palette, and a push for more creative animations. Overall IBI saw the added value of this video and were open to creating new assets for upcoming internal projects.
